| Stories of Home was the Lincoln Arts Council's public arts project celebrating that which brings us together - family - and that which sets us apart - the diversity within our human community. The project engaged and connected the people of Lincoln by transforming families' experiences into works of art. Shaped around a visual arts project led by renowned artist Pepón
Osorio, a dozen professional artists created sculptures that told families'
stories. The 12 works traveled through the community from June 2006
through February 2007. They were shown - both together and separately
- in homes, schools, businesses and community centers where people can
get a close look and talk about the stories the artworks tell. Links:
